Christmas Newsletter 2024

Since my last newsletter, I’ve started a new in-house contractor role. I worked on a variety of print, motion and digital graphics, from another design in Fedrigoni 366 / 2024, multiple illustrations of Goldie, Martin Scorsese, Damon Albarn, and Danny Trejo. My main output of work of the year was for Monkey Shoulder. This included quarterly newsletters, motion graphics, poster and flyer invite for Silent Whisky Tasting, vinyl slipmats for Studio Monkey Shoulder, a collaboration with Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide FM, logo for World Music Day, a double page spread advert in Mixer Magazine, and label design for their Lazy Old Fashioned whisky bottles.

I experimented more this year by creating my first ever typeface, ‘Road’, an angular sans serif, inspired by road chevron markings. Other highlights included So:Me work for Chippenham Cavaliers RFC, logo and visual identity for Shatter clubnight, artwork for Late Night Shiraz clubnight, motion graphics and poster artwork for DJ Prime Cuts (Scratch Perverts), with motion graphics and poster artwork for Acronym b2b Tim Hooper at Milk, Reading.

My last highlight was my submission for Fedrigoni 365 / 2025, painting my number with washing up liquid bubbles, inspired by Led Zeppelin. Finally, there will be new apparel design for Critical Music in 2025 and an art deco inspired typeface I’m working on.
