Christmas Newsletter 2021

Since my last newsletter, I was hired as graphic designer for Workday, working on all their print, web, and digital projects in the EMEA creative team. This is remote for now, working from home, until a safe return to work in spring 2022. I am very happy in my role, working with creative, productive colleagues, with an employer who cares about their staff, with well-being and progression.

This year I have been busy with a variety of projects, including learning After Effects and Premiere to expand my digital and motion skills.
I continued my longterm collaboration with Critical Music, producing a variety of apparel capsules, from women’s t-shirts, to a ‘deluxe leisurewear set’, tracksuit, complete with bag, beanie and 5-panel cap. I continued to design all of the Critical Sound event artwork, with templated artwork for their local events too, a personal highlight was my turntable slipmat design.

I designed limited edition t-shirt capsules for Alternate Bristol and One.Seventy DNB. I continued work with Monkey Shoulder Whisky, creating a variety of flyers and newsletters to promote the brand worldwide. I evolved my ‘Something Creative Everyday’ illustrations, one of Dame Maggie Smith and Sean Bean to name but two. I revisited my watercolour studies again, painting Sir Lewis Hamilton twice, and a large acrylic canvas painting of Danny Devito.

I worked on a variety of music graphics, and a logo identity for drum and bass label Run Tingz Recordings, and logo for dance act ‘Bastion’. Two other highlights were my 36 Days Of Type project, with my letter ‘B’ being lasercut out of brass. I completed another Fedrigoni 365/2021 submission, and I have  successfully submitted a design for next years book too. Best wishes for a creative and prosperous 2021! Here is a round up of the blog posts I’ve created in the past year:
