Christmas Newsletter 2018
Since my last newsletter, I left Dixons Carphone after the Team Knowhow rebrand after a year, and moved to the exciting Gumball 3000. I designed all of the creative output on the annual rally, this year from London to Tokyo, celebrating its 20th anniversary. Highlights include the 424 page limited edition Gumball 3000 ‘20 Years On The Road’ hardcover book. The apparel design included exclusive 20th anniversary collaborations with Kappa, wristband jewellery for Asprey, and leather passport holder design for Globe Trotter. For each annual rally, vehicle sponsor wraps for all cars attending the rally, start and finish line hoardings, limited edition t-shirt and caps, alongside signage were produced.
Other highlights include a social media video of me using the Lenovo Yoga Book tablet. The ‘CitySketch’ competition entailed guessing what city is being sketched using the Create Pad, for a chance to win one. I learnt how to screenprint for the first time, and also continuing drawing portraits and my commuting Something Creative Everyday project, now in its fourth year. A large output of work included new summer and winter apparel design for Critical Music, and their two parties. I continued to design artwork for Cubed and New Bass Order, logotypes for RedFive Creative and Sestra. I designed a second edition of the popular Ladybird book themed cocktail menus for Milk Reading.
I contributed to Fedrigoni 365, an annual calendar. Each single colour design was created as an interpretation of a date that was provided at random to each participant. All proceeds will be going directly to the Shelter charity. Best wishes for a creative and prosperous 2019!
